“What about Suicide?”

“Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin.”
Mark 3:28-29 NIV

The only unpardonable sin (is refusing to let God pardon you).

Suicide is contemplated when:
> (Helpless in current situation)
> (Hopeless about the future)
> (Worried & Depressed)
> (Feelings of Worthlessness)
> (Plagued with Guilt)
> (Overwhelmed by Sin)

God’s Answer to Each:
> (A very present help—Ps. 46:1)
> (Jesus came to give life—John 10:10)
> (Don’t worry, pray—Phil. 4:6-7)
> (Made by God and for God—Eph. 1:5)
> (God forgives—1 John 1:9)
> (Jesus died for all sin—Rom. 5:8-9)

Suicide is a (permanent solution to a temporary problem)

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV

Suicide is (sin, but it’s not the unforgivable sin)

For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God…
