Today our sermon, “Theme Music”, is taken from Psalm 121. Where do we go in times of need, weakness, trouble or temptation? We are reminded that the Lord is our help no matter what we may face. He is sovereign and He is in control.

The LORD IS…(My Provider)

I will lift up my eyes to the hills—from whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
v. 1 NKJV

(In Times of Need)

But our God is in the heavens ; He does whatever He pleases.
Psalm 115:3 NASB

The LORD IS…(My Power)

He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
v. 3 NKJV

(When I am Weak)

Do not be afraid of sudden fear nor of the onslaught of the wicked when it comes; for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught.
Proverbs 3:25-26 NASB

The LORD IS…(My Protector)

The LORD is your keeper; The LORD is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.
v. 5 NKJV

(When I am in Trouble)

As for God, His way is blameless; The word of the Lord is tried; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.
Psalm 18:30 NASB

“The LORD will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul. The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forever.”
Psalm 121:7-8 NASB

The LORD IS…(My Preserver)

The LORD shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.
v. 7 NKJV

(When I am Tempted)

“And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”
Matthew 6:13 NASB
