We will continue in part three of “Unity to Impact the Community” and see how beautifully everything works out when we are working together as one body. Great tasks are accomplished and people outside the community are able to see that God is at work.

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” —Jesus
John 13:34-35 NKJV

When the Church is Unified
It Will…

(break your heart for others)

When I heard these words, I sat down and wept and mourned for days; and I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven.
Nehemiah1:4 NASB

(give you a willingness to help and serve)

“…and a letter to Asaph the keeper of the king’s forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the fortress which is by the temple, for the wall of the city and for the house to which I will go.”
And the king granted them to me because the good hand of my God was on me.
Nehemiah 2:8 NASB

(cause you to participate)

I told them how the hand of my God had been favorable to me and also about the king’s words which he had spoken to me. Then they said, “Let us arise and build.”
Nehemiah 2:18 NASB

(force you to fight evil)

Now Tobiah the Ammonite was near him and he said, “Even what they are building—if a fox should jump on it, he would break their stone wall down!”
Nehemiah 4:3 NASB

(bring a desire to complete the task)

So we built the wall and the whole wall was joined together to half its height, for the people had a mind to work.
Nehemiah 4:6 NASB

So the wall was completed…in fifty-two days. When all our enemies heard of it, and all the nations surrounding us saw it, they lost their confidence; for they recognized that this work had been accomplished with the help of our God.
Nehemiah 6:15-16 NASB
