Jesus… Do You Know Him? part 2
The characteristics of a true friend involve spending time together, sharing your thoughts and feelings with one another without fear of being rejected. A true friend accepts you the way you are and remains loyal to the end. Those kind of friends are hard to find, but that is exactly the kind of friend Jesus longs to be to us. (Friend)

(That I can relate to)

And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 1:14 NASB

(Who can sympathize with me)

This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for He faced all of the same testings we do, yet He did
not sin.
Hebrews 4:15 NLT

(Who accepts me)

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV

“Never will I leave you…”
Hebrews 13:5 NIV

(That forgives me)

(Matthew)

But when Jesus heard this, He said, “It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire compassion, and not sacrifice,’ for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
Matthew 9:12-13 NASB

(The Woman caught in Adultery)

He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?… “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”
John 8:10b-11 NKJV

(Zaccheus)

Zaccheus stopped and said to the Lord, “Behold, Lord, Half of my possessions I will give to the poor, and if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I will give back four times as much.”
Luke 19:8 NASB

(Peter)

…and threw himself into the sea.
John 21:7c NASB
