Is this the Beginning of the End?

Woe because of that day!  For the day of the LORD is near and will come as devastation from the Almighty. Joel 1:15 CSB

Evidence of the Coming of the Day of the Lord

That Day (is predicted and will come).

Now as to the times and the epochs, brethren, you have no need of anything to be written to you. 1 Thessalonians 5:1 NASB

Blow the horn ram’s in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy mountain!  Let all the residents of the land tremble, for the day of the LORD is coming; in fact, it is near… Joel 2:1 CSB

But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.

For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.

Therefore comfort one another with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 NASB

But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. Matthew 24:36 NASB

And Jesus answered and said to them, “See to it that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many.

You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end.

For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.” Matthew 24:4-8 NASB

For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man will be. Matthew 24:27 NASB

That Day (is revealed through signs).

…a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and total darkness, like the dawn spreading over the mountains; a great and strong people appears, such as never existed in ages past and never will again in all the generations to come. Joel 2:2 CSB

The earth quakes before them; the sky shakes. The sun and moon grow dark, and the stars cease their shining. Joel 2:10 CSB

“But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.”  Matthew 24:29 NASB

That day (will be horrific).

“And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. Matthew 24:30 NASB

And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs; for they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them together for the war of the great day of God, the Almighty. (“Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his clothes, so that he will not walk about naked and men will not see his shame.”) And they gathered them together to the place which in Hebrew is called Armageddon. Revelation 16:13-16 NASB

The LORD makes His voice heard in the presence of His army. His camp is very large; those who carry out His command are powerful. Indeed, the day of the LORD is terrible and dreadful—who can endure it? Joel 2:11 CSB
