Church has changed over the past year. We have different ways of “doing church” and have created different avenues of ministry in order for people to feel connected with one another during the days of COVID isolation. Although our methods have changed, one thing has not…THE Church. Join us as Pastor Mike talks about “The State of the Church.”

The State of the Church
2020
The Church hasn’t changed…
1. The Foundation is the same
“I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.” Matt. 16:18 NASB
2. The participants are the same
Now you are Christ’s body, and individually members of it. 1 Cor. 12:27 NASB
3. The plan is the same
For we are God’s handiwork created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Eph. 2:10 NIV
4. The goal is the same
“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you.”
Matt. 28:19-20a CSB
…but church has changed
- How and when we worship is different.
And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ. Acts 5:42 NKJV
2. How we disciple others will be different.
And Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Mark 1:17 NASB
3. How we engage others must be different.
All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God we’re making His appeal through us. 2 Cor. 5:18-20a NIV
