As a church we engage our world on many levels.

Locally we offer you opportunities to minister in prisons, help build wheelchair ramps, minister in nursing homes and much more. You can engage your world by starting with the people in your own community.

We also want to help you become aware of the tremendous needs that exist around the world. We frequently offer you opportunities to go overseas to minister to people’s physical and spiritual needs.

Telling your story with both your words and your actions is the most effective way to engage your world.

Engage Your World Locally

Use our Sample Neighbor letter to reach out to those around you.

When we encourage people to engage their world intentionally we know that world begins in our own community, the places we work, play and live. We also know it’s not going to happen by accident. We have to intentionally or purposefully look for opportunities to develop relationships with people who are not Christians.

One of the best ways to develop those relationships is by showing the love of Christ not just with our words but also with our actions. That’s why we provide opportunities for you to engage locally.

Contact Nick Grice at (704) 822-1933 ext. 205 to learn more about these opportunities.

Get Involved in Local Missions

If you would like to get involved or receive additional information on these or other opportunities to serve in the local community, please contact Engage Ministry Director Nick Grice.

Engage Your World Globally

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8 NIV)

When we encourage people to engage their world intentionally it goes far beyond our own community, as Jesus said it goes, “to the ends of the earth”. So we seek to share the love of Christ with our words and actions all over the world. That’s why we provide opportunities for you to engage globally.
