I grew up in a home that provided many opportunities to participate in church and learn about a relationship with Jesus. I accepted him as Lord of my life in kindergarten with the encouragement of my parents and my sweet teacher, Mrs. Bishop.
While I had lots of head knowledge of who Jesus was and what I should do to follow him, as an adult it all became personal. Reading the bible for myself helped my faith become more than a Sunday School lesson I could recite. As I grew I learned to trust Jesus throughout life’s many joys and struggles. He has been a constant companion, leader, and friend to me.
It’s an honor to serve him in my home first, in my community and now in my work life.
